This couse is BY FAR the most popular choice by dog owners.  It is a very comprehensive course that takes your dog from the very basics in obedience training to listening to the core commands off-leash in 10 lessons.  


On their own these 4 commands do not seem too impressive, however, your dog will learnt to sit/down and stay no matter what.  You can sit him on a sidewalk next to traffic and walk away 300 feet.  You can down your dog and go into the coffee shop and get yourself a coffee and he will not get up in the 10 min. you leave him there.  Your dog can be running around in the trails having a great time, when you see a biker,  you can tell your dog to down on the spot (down in motion) whether he is 10 ft. from you or 1000 ft. from you.  This way the biker can pass your dog and not feel nervous.  Down means down where ever you are, whatever you are doing.  This keeps your dog safe.  It is a way to stop him in his tracks.  Your dog will learn to recall from whatever it is that he is doing.  He will come from other dogs, animals, children etc.  

In these 10 lessons we focus on teaching your dog a work ethic and an enjoyment for obedience.  We focus on training in real life and distractions because many people don't want a dog that listens only in an obedience class, they want a dog that will listen to them when they are camping, hiking and walking around town.  

The freedom of having a well trained dog that is reliable off his leash is worth it's weight in gold.  It takes some hard work and dedication though!!!
